St Mary's Knights of Columbus - February 2025
Fish Fry every Friday during
Lent starting March 7
Fish Fries are a great opportunity for parish families and
friends to gather and share a meal and some fellowship, and to make some new
friends. Please plan to bring your families
on at least one of the Lenten Fridays this year. Fried fish, French fries, cole slaw will be
served. Gluten free grilled fish will be
available upon request and cooked to order (your patience will be appreciated). If you would like to help cook and serve and
share the comradery in the kitchen, please come by when you can and we will put
you to work. Food prep starts around 3PM,
and help is needed until we finish cleanup around 8PM.
St. Mary’s Men’s “Welcome” Retreat – March 22 – 23.
St. Mary’s men will host their annual “Welcome” retreat on
March 22 & 23. This is a two day
retreat starting Saturday morning. It is
open to all men of the parish whether they are new to the parish or have been
with us for many years. It is a great opportunity, especially during Lent, to reflect
on where you are in your spiritual journey, get to know other men of the
parish, and help form bonds that help us grow our relationship with our Lord
and Savior. Please contact Stephen Wang
(Stephen.j.wang@live.com) to sign
up.

Tax Deductible Donations
St. Mary’s Knights of
Columbus can now accept tax deductible donations, including electronic check,
paper check, credit card, equities, and real estate. Donated assets will go
into an account managed by the Knights of Columbus Charitable Fund (KCCF) ( Change Lives Through Generosity ) which
will invest the money in a manner consistent with Catholic teaching. Our council can then make recommendations to
KCCF for distributions from the funds to local recipients as approved by KCCF. All funds going into the account will be
distributed to causes approved by St Mary’s Knights of Columbus. This process ensure that tax deductible
contributions meet all federal tax guidelines.
If you would like to make
an electronic donation, please follow the link below.
Please note that
electronic checks require a 0.75% processing fee. Credit card donations require
a 2.75% processing fee.
If you would like to make
a donation via paper check (no processing fee), or make non-cash donation, such
as a security or real estate, please contact the John Flaherty at Knights@stmarysjc.org for current forms or additional
information.
Men’s Faith Formation – we’re
looking to form a small group of men that will create a program (or several
programs) to inspire all men of our parish to pursue their Catholic faith. The Knights of Columbus offers a framework
called COR (which is latin for heart).
